Can any of you recall or paste scary MySpace/YouTube chain letters?

I was a latchkey kid growing up and would often find myself home alone on school nights and be spooked by chain letters. Most of the time there would be an underage female victim I think one I remember is her being killed while her older sibling is necking with their boyfriend/girlfriend. I think often the girl wouldn’t have eyes because she was tortured when they were cut or gouged out or something and would appear under your bed if you didn’t sent the letter to 3 people. Sometimes the stories also involved molestation and sexual assault before the victim as murdered and turned into a ghost.

There wasn’t a lot of variation in them but I remember one of them weirdly mentioning tacos out of the blue. It was just a weird emphasis that didn’t appear elsewhere in the block of text. Instead of “they were eating dinner” it was “while eating tacos” that should have been my big tip off that the stories like this were all fake. Like that sounds like something a middle school kid would mention because they are still learning how to write.

Despite knowing better, I still felt creeped out being all alone at home after reading some of those graphic tales. That back in 2006.

By eighth grade in 2008, the office of the principal sent out a letter to the entire school’s parents about a chain letter the sixth graders fell for featuring a zombie like girl that would appear at their bed if they didn’t share the story. Not really sure how bad it got amongst those 6th graders to warrant a letter from the principal, but I just remember feeling so superior being two years older and thinking those 6th graders were dumb as hell.

Does anyone else remember these weird stories? I remember encountering them a lot on MySpace and occasionally in the comments on YouTube videos.
